Tasting West End Vittles for the SOL Foundation

Benefit brings restaurants together for big bash

On Thursday, March 31, local charity the SOL Foundation held a little vittle session down at the Palms in West End.

The benefit brought some of the benevolent who’d just attended Peggy’s ceremony, as well as hungry people looking to check out samples from some local restaurants.

Sounds like a great idea that should attract more West End eateries to get with the program.

After all the free food we scarfed down at Clinica Esperanza, it was hard to feel hungry but everything sure looked good.

Dave Elmore and Mark Flanagan of SOL  have their hands full with April’s full-on baseball season, of course, spending days working with kids on fielding skills and bat-choking.

Tomorrow, Saturday the 2nd, come check out the 3 p.m. game at the baseball field behind Woody’s gas station and Banco Lafise.
